About HP High Pressure and their Patents
1. 1977-Automatic Washing System, the first HP patent. The invention of this Hydraulic disposal finally offered the possibility of avoiding manual operating of exchange valves for the flushing cycle. Now used on all AUTO series.
2. 1999- Automatic Hydraulic Pressure Regulation. This device increases the system performance thanks to the automatic opening of the pressure valve installed at the end of the hydraulic circuit during the flushing phase. The action of this device allows the final user to avoid the manual regulation of the valve during the production phase and during the flushing cycle. Used on all of the AUTO series.
3. 1999 - Generator-- Watermaker (Camel Power) At the end of 1999 HP receives one of it's most important patents, a unique double system that, in a single machine includes 2 different functions: ENERGY and FRESH WATER PRODUCTION. The realization of this system was made possible by using the Automatic Washing System and the Automatic Hydraulic Pressure Regulation.
4. 2002 - Energy Recovery System on the Electric Motor. This represents a new and important evolution for the construction of the Reverse Osmosis Watermaker. This allows for the cooling of the electric motor, decreasing current consumption and at the same time Pre-Heating the inlet seawater to the membranes, rendering it more fluid and therefore the Osmotic membrane more productive. This system is now used in the HP Ultra Compact series and will be available for the AUTO series in June 2003.
5. 2002 - Remote Controlled Automatic Motorized Regulation Pressure Valve (PR Tronic) The main problem with watermakers is the operation and maintenance. Changing sea water conditions require the pressure regulation valve to be set and reset constantly. Usually these changes are made directly at the watermaker which is almost always installed in very inaccessible places. These procedures are not always clear to the user and often result in malfunctioning if not done correctly.
The Patented HP PR Tronic AUTOMATICALLY regulates the correct working pressure for any kind of water. The operator simply supplies seawater , start and stop the system and nothing else. HP PR Tronic is equipped with pressure transducer that analyses the circuit pressure, gradually regulating it to the set up value by means of a micro-electric motor (2 RPM) that turns clock and anti-clockwise to open or close the needle valve.
This pressure regulation system which is UNIQUE and INNOVATIVE in watermakers, will be combined with the new PLC Logic HP PLC03 that will also allow the remote manual regulation of the pressure from the wheelhouse
THE FIRST (and Still the only) WATERMAKERS WITH REMOTE PRESSURE CONTROL
This valve can also be used manually avoiding any possible watermaker stop.
All the Automatic plants in the series HP UC - SUPER COMPACT - VERTICAL - SC DOUBLE and ELITE will be equipped with the PR Tronic system.
